The second half of the reading
starts of with one of Dasharathas sons coming back and finding out the death of
his father and the exile of his brother. I will add obstacles for Bharata in
the search for Rama as he goes into the forest. Rama refuses to return to his
homeland but in my story I plan on Bharata kidnapping Rama’s wife in order for
him to return. The battle between Rama and his brother with a demon is also a
scene I plan on working with. Rama and his brother Lakshmana will set journey
into the woods in search for Siti who was kidnapped by Rama’s brother Bharata. Working
with Shurpanakha will be a form of love twist for Rama as he is in search of
Siti. I plan on keeping the fight between Rama and the Rakshasas for the
original meaning, the feeling of rejection from Shurpanakha. Shurpanakha will
find out where Siti is and sets forth a plan to attack her but Bharata (originally
Lakshmana) will not allow such thing to occur. I will also try to keep the
fight between Shurpanakha’s brother, Khara, and Ramas with its original meaning
as well as the revenge of Ravana for Khara’s death. Ravanas plan for revenge
will include another beast who is also furious with Rama. They will try and
take back Siti and kill her and Bharata will not have a clue of the plan coming
his way. Ravana and Maricha figure out a way to distract Bharata and take Siti.
Bharata knowing he has made a great mistake tells his brothers what he did and
what has happened to Siti. The three brothers set search for Siti. I will keep
the Golden Deer as a way to lure the brothers into a trap set forth by Ravana
and Marichi. Marichi will keep his power of transformation and will keep the
power to sound like Rama in order to mislead Bharata and Lakshmana. I will keep
the function of the bird Jatayu as an aid for the brothers against Ravana and
Marichi. I also plan on keeping the instance where Ravana tries to rape Sita.
Instead of failing to rape her due to curse placed upon him, I will make his
failure due to one last blow from the Jatayu who came in a delivered a strike
that placed Ravana in great pain that he was unable to complete his evil plan. Jatayu
being struck by Ravana as he delivered the last blow caused his vision to blur
causing him to retreat in search for the brothers.
